This Morning I woke up to this Beautiful fog ..
My kitty Creepers was in as much Awe as I was ...
Yes , I have a cat now . She just creeped up one day and decided this is her home. Not a huge cat person , but she is very sweet . I don't mind if she stays.....
I happened to be listening to these guys a whole bunch this morning . A friend of mine just recently brought them to my attention. How suiting .. What a hauntingly beautiful morning :)

Paper Dolls and The Enchanted Garden...
I used card stock and then collaged scrap booking paper scraps on top of the doll shapes I cut out . I painted the faces with water colors and micro pens on poster board and cut them out. Decorated them with buttons , letter stamps , lace , rhinestones and glued it all together with gloss medium. Ribbon and little pearly bead strands for tree hanging
Joy : )
Warming up with some Cappuccino, My nose is cold . Remember ? I'm a Southerner now , can't hang in the cold anymore !
Ohhhhhhhhhh Night Divine....
More warming up . My husband made it , he is almost as good a cook as me ;)

I'm Dreaming of a PINK Christmas ?
let me introduce you to our tree , I really like the white ones because they remind me of snow , being that I grew up in Colorado and now live in Georgia , we don't get as much of it here. However , we did have a white Christmas last year ! The first I have ever seen since I moved here. May we be so lucky this year :) I got some "purple" Christmas lights and they are actually pink lol .... I think I like it
(we hadn't put the ornaments on yet) I think it needs some fairies ...
My Husband and Three year old painting :)
We also made this mini tree tree...
and this is Kashi's Winter Wonderland he made. Next he wants to make a card for Santa ( too sweet )
Our Gingerbread House rules. ( note the five eyed ginger bread man with half eaten head ) RULES ! even though it fell apart , it was tasty.
Happy Holidays !

Make What You Love
Folk Art Owl Doll... My Favorite
Finished this girl today .. I really missed needle felting and was in the mood for it. I think it is probably more relaxing than any other medium , even though it takes a hours and hours especially if you are felting something big. For one , I can do it anywhere unlike clay that is messy so that I have to be at my desk . Two , I think there something therapeutic about working with the soft and fuzzy animal wool . I am working on a fox like this one as well. I have really been putting some serious thought into re-opening my Etsy store very soon . I really love this doll ... I don't know how I am ever going to open a store when I want to keep all my dolls for myself ! ; ) I guess I need to start making two at a time. It's hard enough to find the time for one : ( I found this little wicker chair at the flea market and I have got this cloth body pattern I made down pat. I like it because I can adjust the size and attach any kind of head to the body , whether it is felted or made of clay , paper mache etc. etc.. I got this nifty sewing box for 40 % off at Jo-Ann's . Love it ! I can carry my felting stuff in here too :)
I snatched this sucker up so fast . Like I said , it definitely has Lisa written all over it
She has little owl babies that go in her pockets . Teeny Owl Faces = LOVE

Send In The Clowns
Just getting ready for Halloweeeeeeeeen !
What You Need For this Nifty Clown Hat...
1. Kewl scrap booking paper of your choice
2. Matte Medium , I use this for glue . I suppose Elmers would do just fine.
3. Hot Glue Gun
4. Scissors
5. Tulle ( a long piece ) color of your choice
6. Flowers , Feathers , Ribbon optional :)
7. I didn't really need the clothspins as much as I thought.
8. also need a little piece of elastic ( I forgot)
I personally like the papers that look "circusy" ( makin up words again ) for this project. I went with the Polka Dots because Polka Dots are the Bee's Knees. I really like this kind of paper , it's called lost and found at Hobby Lobby and it's thick like card stock.
Now Rolly Polly and pretend like you are making a Waffle Cone..
Nom Nom Nom Waffle Cone.....
Secure with a dab of Hot Glue here... and then go like this
more Hot Glue .....
and then I was all like ..
put some Hot Glue on the inside crease to secure it more :) Let it dry for about as long as it takes you to make Guacamole ... and then eat some Guacamole .
Cut off the excess and keep trimming it until it is as small as you like. I made mine kind of angled because it sits on my head better..
get it to stay on with elastic , thanks to Granny Cloud who gives me crafty stuff all the time , I had an elastic stash ! Grannies are so awesome..
I used the smallest so I don't have a huge ugly strap on my chin.
Not unlike a child's Birthday Party Hat.
make sure you use a nice long piece of tulle to go all the way around , prolly about 3-4 times the circumference of the hat .
Glue , Twist Half Way , Fluff , Glue ... etc. etc.
Now add whatever you want to it :) Maybe a Feather .....
Or Two , whatever tickles your Clown Hat fancy..
I think a cute variation of this would be a tall Princess Hat with Ribbons Streaming out of the top . That would be a super cute and fun thing to do for a little girls Birthday Party :) and I like to make them for dolls
YaY !!!
