Wall Dolls

Well I had been working on another one for a while and put it in the closet because I didn't really like her very much at first . I did it the same way I did this one
                                      (  I do love this one )

I used some left over foam board I had from making a light box for both of these. I had no idea how I was going to turn either one of these into something solid and hang able because they curled when I painted them. I still haven't framed the one above yet , but now that I know I can make it work with a staple gun and some canvas stretching boards .. I need to. The one I finished yesterday turned out like this..

I like her a lot better now. I guess she is pretty darn cute and kinda grew on me a little. She looks really peaceful & happy anyway. I sort of told myself that from now on I  really need to focus on finishing some unfinished things I have tossed aside , whether I am feeling them or not. I think it is important that I see it through and not have all these unfinished pieces just floating around everywhere taking up space and cluttering my mind , I think it makes for bad creative chi . So it is one of my short term goals :

 FINISH UNFINISHED PROJECTS LISA !

I 'm also working on a mixed media art doll that has just been a head for a couple of weeks ...  put her body together yesterday.. I'm diggin her , I painted her face on gessoed canvas and then sewed her face into the felt to make her head. what do you think?

I decided she is going to be some sort of fairy queen so that is going to be her crown and I made her some wings out of floral wire and pretty tissue paper. I don't know if she will have arms and legs or not but at least she can fly ! and I think I am going to embellish the heck out of her with pretty buttons and such. I think she will be a nice addition when I'm done.

I haven't  finished trimming her wings yet .
