Our annual country fair ! Prater's Mill was built in the mid 1800’s and has long since been restored, the water-powered grist mill is now the centerpiece of a country fair that showcases the cultural history of Southern Appalachia. Mountain music, Southern foods, living history exhibits and handmade crafts and original art . I'm There ! We spent all day there yesterday and today the same as we do every year. I love it , I live for this kind of thing and look forward to it so much !
My favorite part , The Root Beer stand . I still haven't tried them all ! So far the sarsaparilla's got my vote.
never thought I would say this , but I think I have had to much Root Beer. You're cut off !
found me a wooden owly and a little birdy friend for my collection...
and I bought some nice alpaca wool . I love wool it feels so nice in my hands , I use it for doll hair & clothes , I also like to make mushrooms and critters with it, and I would like to make dolls out of it too . I miss needle felting , haven't done it in a while...
kids and hubby having fun :)
Ran into my bff with some muscadine juice . What A great day ! see ya next year Prater's :)
